Mystery Quilts - Winter Solstice (2015) and Fall Festival (2014)

This is Block 1 and the layout (both in progress) for the 2015 Mystery Quilt "Winter Solstice".
Block #1 will ship in February.

I was going to call it "Let It Snow" but someone pointed out I already have a pattern called by that name so we changed it to Winter Solstice.

Anyway, while I'm not quite retiring yet like Country Threads and Buggy Barn, I'm cutting way back after last year.  Therefore we will have only a limited number of kits.

To sign up call Tammie at 816-632-7632 or email her at janpatekquilts@centurylink.net.
We will accept credit cards but invoicing through Paypal is just too confusing as our store does Paypal and payments for the Mystery Quilt get pushed way down on the pages and are difficult to find.

The Finishing Kit for the borders for Fall Festival is ready to ship now.  If you don't get an invoice soon, please let us know.  The cost is $28.50 but we do charge shipping on the borders.

Tara is no longer with us for health reasons, so once again we're kind of in a muddle.  We miss her :(
If you're missing any of the blocks please let us know and we'll get them out to you.

As soon as I get Fall Festival back from the quilter, I'll post a picture of it.

Primitive Quilts & Projects - Spring Break

And boy, are we ready for a Spring Break -
It's been quite a winter!

Starting with the Spring issue,  Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine is featuring our Spring Break Quilt in 4 sections.

The Spring issue features the center block

and subsequent issues will give you patterns for the entire quilt.

We have a very limited number of fabric packs available.  They are for the fabrics only.
There will be a few substitutions on the green fabrics but we have everything else.
And this way, you can pay for the fabric in sections.
The price of the kits will vary according to how much fabric is in them.  The total will probably not be over $200.00 but could be less.  As you know with a kit, you're not only paying for fabric but for the labor involved.
And - even if I do say so myself - it's an awesome quilt.
So grab the latest issue of Primitive Quilts and call Tammie at 816-632-7632 to order your kit!

Epiphany

Today is Epiphany - the day the Magi brought gifts to the baby Jesus.

This is my Bible Quilt - it hangs in my loft year round.
Since today is Epiphany, we thought we would put it on sale for half price this week - kind of our gift to you.

This is a picture of a quilt that our friend Kari Harter made for one of her friends to give to her mother for her 75th birthday.
Isn't it awesome?
I just love it.

And this is Violet White enjoying her winter home in the chicken house.
It's a bit chilly outside in her summer home in the chicken yard.
Usually she complains if I bring her inside - bangs on the door and wants out.
Not this time.

So - taking my cue from Violet White - I'm going to stay inside - and maybe do a little quilting.
