Happy Almost New Year

And I hate to be a scrooge

but Thank God no snow so far.

I hope you all had a great Christmas.

Jake came over on Christmas Eve and on Christmas

we all went down to Kansas City and had dinner with

our son Max, his wife Valerie and kids, Cullen and Quinn.

Everyone had their shots and boosters.  Max is a

bartender at a restaurant in Westport and asked Pep

what flavor profile he said wanted for his drink.

Pep said " "spicy" so Max made us these

awesome cocktails with gin, elderflower liquer,

jalapeño juice and ginger beer.  I

don't know what it was called but it

was delicious.

Over the years Pep has gotten me quite
a few bulldog shirts and this year's
gift is one of my favorites.  As you can tell Elizabeth
is wearing her Girl Gang jacket.  I have no
idea where he got it but I love it.  :)

Not to be outdone, Tammy got me a chicken

T-shirt.  I'm getting quite a collection of t-shirts.

This is the last week of the month so it's also

the last week Up on the Rooftop will be on special

for 1/2 price.

This is my Pinetree Village quilt - one
of my favorite patterns from that book.
I just love homespun plaids and stripes.

The special this week is Winter Weekend.

Both the BOM pattern and the kit are on

sale for 20% off.

You can go to the store to get them and

Up on the Rooftop by clicking here.

Have a good week ladies and a

safe New Year's Eve.

Happy almost Christmas - Iris & Ivy

Iris and Ivy

I just love this fabric line -
especially the purples :)

and the greens

and the lavenders

and definitely the creams
(can you see the iris on that top one ?)

And the Black (that 3rd one down with the
Iris and and the Ivy - the purple and green.
I'd say it's my favorite but I think they all are.

They all make me almost want Christmas
to be over so I can just QUILT.

My computer is acting up so I can't get

the pictures bigger but our special this week is the

 kits for the Snowman and

"Olive" (as in "all of the" other reindeer)

stockings for 20 % off.  You can go to

the store to get the kits by clicking here.

Have a great week, ladies and a safe and merry Christmas.

New fabric line - Iris and Ivy and December Special

We're getting there ladies -

the holidays are almost here.

And we're all busy, busy, busy.

Our special this week is
No Room at the Inn
This is the Tablestand version
and you can get a kit to make it
by clicking here

I've been busily working on
patterns for my latest fabric line
Iris and Ivy.

This is Down at the Farm.

I love the fabric in this quilt and this line.
I went up to the loft to take pictures of the fabrics
to show you but forgot that the lighting distorts
the color.  Tammy and I will take them fabric
out on the deck and take the pictures again and
can show you next week.

Everyone stay safe and go to the basement if
you need to.

Happy almost Winter

And Winter means a change
in the quilts in the house

This is Winter Wonderland hanging in the foyer

and I'm pretty sure that a kit for this quilt is on

sale for 20% off this week.

And of course we have to have a
Christmas tree.  We've been getting
small live trees at Walmart the last
few years and planting them outside
after Christmas.
This year they had them for sale
before Thanksgiving.They would
have been a dried out fire hazard by
Christmas so we reverted to the tree
I bought to take to Market years ago.

I'm quite happy with it and think

I've found my Christmas tree for a few years.

Here it is sitting on a table behind my
favorite chair for doing my appliqué.
The quilt is "Over the River"

Moving to the couch we have the "Olive" pillow

on the left,  the"Keeping Watch" pillow

on the right and the Santa Claus Lane wallhanging

                                                    in the middle.

We have to have a Tablestand on my desk.  This

is "Holly Tree Lane" sitting besides Pep's Mother's angel

Patterns for all of the quilts are in the store - the

angel is not.  :)

Neither is the small Nativity scene on the mantel.

I found this treasure years ago and it's now

a tradition on the mantel.

Outside the chickens got a treat.

They don't mind the cold yet

but Nancy bought them a winter treat.

It's a Lays treat mix with Cheetos, pretzels

and Doritos.

She says they LOVE it.

We need to get them more for Christmas :)

And here is Elizabeth's Christmas treat
A raccoon chew toy - the only kind of raccoon
I want on the property.

I'll give it to her anyway but

here's what she did while I was working on

the house.  She told me she was keeping the bed

warm for me in case I needed a nap.

You can get patterns for all of the quilts

by clicking here

Have a cozy winter ladies.

See you next week and Keep quilting.

Happy December

And our Vintage book

this month

 is

Jake is 23 now and a student
at UMKC school of Dentistry

and as long as I have
Up on the Rooftop
I'll have the memories of
when he was five.
(The reindeer head is his
footprint and the antlers
are his handprints).

It also has the one of my favorites,
the pattern for the quilt
that goes on the bed in the kids room
every Christmas -   Pinetree Village

It's simple and says Christmas to me
Home
Trees
and
Snowmen.

Our special this week is the kit for
Holly Tree Lane Tablestand.

Front

and back

for 20% off

That's it for now ladies,  Pep and I got

our booster shots yesterday and I'm going to take a liedown.   Keep quilting. :)
