Happy Girl Gang Wednesday

And since yesterday was the

1st day of Spring.

Our special this week is the

Spring Break BOM for 30 %off.

Obviously the fabric for this quilt

is long gone but I've been working with

Deb Strains line "Honey and Lavender" that will

be out in May and you might watch for it.

The yellows are softer and so are the greens

but it would make an awesome quilt.

And you can always search the Bella Solids if you

want to start now and don't have fabrics

in your stash that will work.

Meanwhile, you can always be

working on our spring minis and tablestands.

"April Please" Tablestand front and back

 and

"Spring, Full Speed Ahead"

I don't know why the picture is so small,

the little table runner is 39" x 16" - just

about right for my Easter table.

Oh well, I've always said I was much better at

designing quilts than working with a computer.

It's raining "full speed"right now.  I know its not April yet

but if the saying "April Showers bring May Flowers",

we should have some awesome flowers coming.

And I'd better leave the computer and go up the hill

to take care of the barn cat and the chickens.

Have a great week filled with the people and quilts

that you love.

Happy Girl Gang Wednesday

And the sun is finally out today

in this part of Missouri.

Thank you God.

I'm really sick and tired of rain
but guess I should be glad I
don't live in California.

I took advantage of the great weather
to take Elizabeth and Dobby outside to play while I
hung a few clothes on the line.

And, of course they had to go say
hi to Muffin up by the barn and
help guard the trusty Kubota.  My
father-in-law Byron brought the little
tractor over from Chillicothe when we
first moved here and it keeps the land looking
tidy all year - mowing and snow removal
are its specialties.

When we got to the barn we found that Muffin
still had his roomie (I'm not sure what his
name is yet - or even if its a him).  But he's
not a feral cat because he lets me pet him.
He showed up a couple of days ago and seems
to like it here.

We need to have a contest for a name for him.
And the winner can get a free kit for
our little Tablestand quilt that's on
sale this week.  The rest of you can get
a kit or a pattern for 20% off by clicking here

                                                                Can't Wait Till Spring

Have a great week with the people and the
quilts that you love.   See you next Wednesday

Happy Girl Gang Wednesday

This is what I've been working on this week.
It's called "Spring - Full Speed Ahead"
and it will be my table runner for Easter dinner.

You can get your pattern or your kit by clicking here.

Today it's rainy and somewhat chilly so I'm glad to be inside
but the last couple of days it's been nice so I ventured outside to take
pictures of my chickens.  I just love watching my chickens and
throwing them bits of stale bread or leftover veggies.

These are my bantys - a rather diverse group -
All of these color combinations come from the little
speckled hen that Zoie named Sherran and the red rooster.

And these are mainly Buff Orpingtons with an
oddball rooster I got because I loved
the color of his feathers.  He's the head rooster-I'm
not sure why.

This is the latest dozen banty eggs
(they're smaller and cream colored)

And these are the Orpington eggs -
(larger and brown).

They're all "free range" and taste awesome.
One of our favorite dinners is scrambled eggs
and bagels and another favorite is hash and eggs.

This is the hanging feeder in the banty house.
Jeff made a lid for it because the hens kept
getting inside to lay eggs and I was afraid one
would get stuck.  That was probably just my
paranoia but it didn't hurt to make the lid. :)

This is "Spring at Last" - our special this week.

It's 20 % off and you can got to the store to get either

the pattern of the kit by clicking here.

Have the best week you can with the

people and quilts that you love.

Happy Girl Gang Wednesday

Have I mentioned before that I'm much

better at making quilts than I am at working

                                                             on the computer?

This is the drawing of the Tablerunner

I'm making for my table this Spring.

And it would be very nice if I could figure out

how to get the picture right side up - but I can't.

Since Tammy is at her doctor's office getting her

blood pressure checked, she's not around to help

so I'll just let it go.  When I get the little quilt done

I'll take a picture right side up.  :)

Meanwhile the item on sale is the Spring Break BOM.

You can go to the store to get the whole pattern
by clicking here

And speaking of Spring Break, the FBI is reminding everyone, no
matter what the age, to not take anything that is not prescribed by
your doctor and comes from your pharmacy.

Cullen and Quinn were both here over the weekend and I'm kind
of worn out so I'll finish this tomorrow.  See you then.
