Happy Flag Day.
I'm really rushed today because I've spent
most of the day designing a new quilt out
of Deb Strains coming line
Woodland Winter.
I can't show it to you yet because it
won't be out for awhile but I can tell you that
it's her next Christmas line which gives you a
general idea of the colors.
I've been somewhat sad lately because one night
Jeff neglected to shut up the banty's house and
a raccoon got in and killed all of my banty's, including
the babies.
Now every night when I go up to feed the cat, I close
up the houses myself. They may have to go to bed
a little early but they get to wake up in the morning.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.
Jeff still feeds them all because my 78 year old self
isn't up to carrying the buckets of feed but I can still
shut the doors on the houses and lock them.
I went to Cackle Hatchery's website and ordered some
bantys and my usual order of Buff Orpingtons for eggs.
I usually order straight run so I get both hens and roosters.
I also ordered one Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster
because he disappeared out of the big house. (I suspect
the same culprit.) He got along just fine with the Orpintons
so I'm sure this one will too.
And speaking of shutting them up, it's getting to be
about time to go do that.
But first the sale item of the day.
It's American Eagle month -
American Eagle day is June 20th. The observance
celebrates the day in 1782 when the bird was added
to the official seal of the United States.
Our sale item this week is the BOM pattern for
Eagles and Roses. You can go to our store to get
the pattern by clicking here
That's about it for today.
Have the best week with the people and quilts that you love.
