Dobby's Day

Hi, my name is Dobby (when I was a puppy, I liked socks -- a lot)
and I'm a Welsh Corgi.
Welsh Corgis, for those of you who don't know, are herding dogs.

And I want to tell you - herding this bunch is quite a challenge - especially around Market.

But Market or no Market, I take Mom for a walk late every afternoon - it's good for her - helps relieve stress.

We walk to the treeline at the bottom of the hill and then back up.
Spike starts out with us but usually sits down about halfway there.
We used to walk on the gravel road down to the creek but bulldogs have a tendency to stand in front of cars and try to stop them.
After a couple of rather big vet bills Dad mowed us a path to the treeline behind the barn.
Looks like it could stand mowing right now.
Corgis are medium sized dogs with very short legs that can corner on a dime but shorter grass makes our job easier.

Back inside, I always help Mom with binding the quilts.
This is one of my favorites, the Moda Love quilt from the Castlewood line.  I helped with it.
And Mom did a tutorial on it too.  You can watch the tutorial by clicking here.

Mom said we got to chose our quilt to have a special on and this is mine.  You can buy a pattern or kit by clicking here.

Oops, gotta go.  Mom's up and moving and better make sure she goes the right way.

Meanwhile you can go see what's up with some of the other Moda designers and their blogs.

To Market, To Market

Hi - My name is Bopper and I live at my grandma's house

out in the farm yard with my friends Robin and Violet White.

We have a pretty neat bunny life except Grandma gets upset when I get out and go to the garden.
Every animal on the farm has it's job.  Usually our job is to be cute and cuddly but since everyone is in high gear getting ready for Market we thought we'd help out.

Since we're big bunnies and have big heads and bigger brains than most bunnies (which is why we're good at getting into the garden), we get to help with the computer.

The quilt Grandma let us pick to be on special today is "To Market, To Market".
To get a pattern or a kit you can click here.

That's me in the cart.  Why hop when you can ride.

And speaking of hop, you can hop on over to these Moda designers and see what's up with them.  #designersIRL.
Be sure and come back Friday for Grandma's post day to download a free pattern and for a chance to win free fabric .

Shenanigans!, Shenanigans

Hi, my name is Spike and I'm Jan & Pep's trusty English Bulldog.

Right now I'm helping get ready for Market by being a "calming influence" while Jan appliques the last bird on a quilt due to leave for the quilters this afternoon.

I'm also helping guard the choring footwear that just happens to be in this sunbeam.  :)

This is "O My Stars" one of Jan's Lilies of the Field fabric line patterns.
"O My Stars" is pretty well what its about around here and the pattern is on special today only just for the blog hop.

And the "O My Stars"  quilt below is made up out of the Front Porch fabric line.  We have a very limited number of kits for it left and they are on sale today only.

You can get a pattern or a kit by clicking here.

Well, Mom's bustling so I'd better get back to being calming again.

Meanwhile you can visit the other designers at ............

Latest Tutorial and It's never to early or too late :)

(not including Dueces, Pep's cat) - a great quilt for the 4th of July,

and this is the Bunny and Rooster from

Birds & Bunnies, Herbs and Honeys, an awesome spring quilt.

To watch the tutorial on doing the inside and outside curves on both quilts click here.
The kits and patterns for both quilts are on sale today and tomorrow only.   You can get to the store to buy them by clicking here or on the name of the quilt.
You get tomorrow too because we didn't get things out until late this morning.

Here are two (or really 3) reasons why.

Grandson Jake had Senior Prom Saturday (I cannot believe he's 18 already - it makes a grandma's eyes leak) and his tux had to be returned today.  He's in school of course.

And Quinn and Cullen didn't have school today so they're at Grandma's.

Grandma is meeting herself coming and going - especially with Market looming.
But all too soon they will be 18 too.
Best enjoy these years while I can.
Meanwhile, I've Blogged, Facebooked, Instagramed and fixed them lunch.

Now to sit and stitch for a minute.

And we hope its stopped raining.................

This is Block #3 of Winter Solstice

the Mystery Quilt for 2015 and it's due to ship Wednesday the 15th - God willing and the creek don't rise.

And it had better not rise  :).

Meanwhile,  Market looms so this will be very short.

We did stop to film a tutorial last Friday on the calendar quilt so that should be up soon.

Back to applique.

Keep quilting ladies.  I certainly am  :)
