Moda Blockheads 2-Wednesday - Time for........

Block #10

Duck and Ducklings
by Jo Morton

To download the pattern click here.
To go to see what she's been doing and
what she did with her block click here.

This is my quilt Sleigh Bells.
It was a Mystery Quilt one year so you had to
get the kit each month in order to make the quilt.

Now Martingale has done an awesome job of
publishing a book full of pictures of each block
along with the patterns.
I am really happy - they did a wonderful job.
Thanks Martingale.  :)

Hopefully most shops will be carrying it so go to your local quilt shop and see.
Or of course, we're carrying them in our store.

If you're a shop and want to order some for your store
you can order by visiting their website at
                                               MartingaleWholesale.com
                                             or by calling 1-800-426-3126

I got an email awhile ago asking for the name of a quilt a lady had seen.
She described it as having
"a house and a tree and a cat".
I really couldn't think at the time but
it might be this one.
If so it is Cherry Tree Lane.

I decided to put this on the blog because by the time I
thought of it, I had, of course, lost the woman's email.

Back to  SLEIGH BELLS.

Make a comment - any old comment - about winter,
about summer, about anything --
and next week I will have the Random Number Generator pick a
winner to send a copy of Sleigh Bells.

So now lets go see what the other designers
have done with Jo's block.

Lynne of Kansas Troubles
Barb & Mary of Me and My Sister
Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic
Vanessa of Lella Boutique
Betsy Chutchian
Stacy lest Hsu
Laurie Simpson of Minick & Simpson
Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life
Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings
Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts
Carrie Nelson of Moda's Cutting Table

Well, that makes 12.
I seem to be Lucky 13.

Until next week ladies,
Keep quilting.:)

  59. Calgary is about to break all time heat records this afternoon. The previous record of 34 C (93 F) was set in 1991. We're at that now and a high of 37 C (99 F) is predicted. That's no big deal for some of you, but it is hot for the foothills of the Rockies. I watered the gardens early this morning and I'm cooling off in my basement sewing room.

    ReplyDelete
  60. We got tired of the heat after living in the Phoenix valley for 47 years and moved to the mountains. Love it and love primitive anything. I was always drawn to wool, but stayed away from it because wool and Phoenix don't go together. Now I can use wool!

Great for cleaning out my gardens & planting Beautiful new flowers..Winter can be the same, as well! A change of comforting cool temps & then, about a couple of times, we get below freezing temps, but only briefly.. Summer here worries everyone, because of the Hurricane threats & Hits.. (Last Year was Horrific.. Fall here is still Hot, so to get relief, when we can, we are off to the mountains.. I LOVE the True four Seasons, so for all who have that, Please Enjoy each one..
