A few days ago....................
My grandson is staying with me for a
few days and has been using the computer so
this is my first time to get to it in order to blog.
I could have kicked him off but he's been so helpful
that I hated to do it.
Veterans Day.
My father was Major Glover Wilson Laird (Army) and
Pep's father was Lt. Commander Byron Patek (Navy)
so Veteran's Day is pretty important to me.
I realized when I was writing this that a
lot of the people who knew and remembered both
of them aren't around any more and I'm not even
sure what Byron's rank was.
So this blog has inspired me to get in touch with
Ancestry.Com or something similar and do some
research so my grandchildren will know who they
were. This is the quilt I designed to honor them.
