As I'm sure all of you know
the week before Christmas is
rather hectic.
Sooooo...
instead of posting Sherri's
beautiful but complex block for
Blockheads 2
I decided to have a drawing for
the Blockheads 1 book
and post 2 blocks for Blockheads 2
next week.
To enter the drawing for the Blockheads
book simply make an
"after Christmas" comment
and next week we'll announce who the
Random Number Generator picked.
Good luck and have a great week.
Meantime, lets go see how many of
the other designers were more organized
than I am (bet they don't live on a farm)
and what they did with Sherri's block.

Betsy Chutchian
Stacy lest Hsu
Laurie Simpson of Minick & Simpson

ReplyDeleteChristmas is being spent across the country from home visiting our family. It's a different kind of holiday this year. But good to spend extended time with folks we don't see much.
ReplyDeleteRecovery day here today. Going slow for sure. Still putting away stuff. Hope I can sew something later today. Thank you for the chance to win a copy of this great book.
ReplyDeletePJs...sofa...leftovers...Blockheads 2...quilt...sleep. Rinse. Repeat.
ReplyDeleteLoving thr holiday inspiration trying to do some quilting but not being too successful
ReplyDeleteAfter Christmas I want to dive into unfinished quilt projects.
ReplyDeleteDay after Christmas? The kitchen is closed!! A bit of laundry today after some of the visiting family left to go home - short visit but sweet. Then I’m going to SEW and catch up on Blockheads 2!

ReplyDeleteRelaxing on Boxing Day, all family gone, and taking it easy. Need to do a little pick up and straighten up. I think the quilt you finished is the one I need to put my blocks together with! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAfter Christmas it is clean up for me. We use my sewing room for the storage, wrapping and as a catch all for the holidays. Yikes, its a mess. I'm looking forward to the two blocks next week from you. That will be a treat. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAfter Christmas I'll be getting back to quilting. My sewing room is also the guest room which has recently been occupied by our son that we haven't seen for 4 years.❤

ReplyDeleteI have already ordered the book as a keepsake since I did BH1. It was perfect for a beginner quilter like me. I can definitely see the progression of my skills through the blocks. If I win, I will gift the book to a fellow quilter friend who is on a tight budget. Thank you, Jan, for all you do for us Blockheads.
ReplyDeleteAfter Christmas, we travel to visit relatives and exchange gifts because Christmas in this family means staying home. Our Christmas can sometimes last a week ir longer this way.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds easy, but for a lot of people, for a lot of reasons, it can be a very difficult thing to bring out. Rudolph’s nose isn’t always red for foggy snow, sometimes it is red from crying. Thankfully, we could shed joyful tears, not sorrowful ones, even after all the sorrows that came to pass this year.
I just wanted to you to know your post really touched my heart. So glad for you.
DeleteAfter Christmas I plan to clean up the sewing room a bit. Then I plan to catch up with 2 Blockheads 2 blocks. Looking forward to the new year with some new projects. Thank you for the opportunity to win Blockheads 1 book!
ReplyDeleteHave a good and heathy 2019 Jan. Wilma Oud

I have spent time with family, and am so thankful for that. Gonna get all picked up and put Christmas away. Tomorrow is our 53rd anniversary. How in the world did I get so blessed. Thank you Lord
ReplyDeleteI am planning on doing Moda's string-a-long starting today and sew, sew, sew through the week-end. . . .
ReplyDeleteToday was my day to relax! Applique, Charity Knitting, groceries and made turkey soup for dinner.
ReplyDeleteEn España continua la fiesta. El día de regalos es el día 6 de enero, día de Reyes. Es el día de más emoción con los pequeños de la casa
