But July is REALLY CLOSE :)

The garden is ready.

But I get ahead of myself.

On Monday the 17th, I got into my car and
drove to Dubuque, Iowa to give a
lecture to the ladies of the Cable Car
Quilt Guild, a thoroughly delightful group.

After the lecture I spent the night at the home
of Ruth Lyon.  And I sincerely owe her an
apology.  When I left the next day to drive home
I told her that I would call when I got here and
I TOTALLY FORGOT.  :(
The drive took a little longer than I anticipated
After all Iowa is just right on top of Missouri.
However you go straight up to DesMoines and
turn right.  The turn right is the tricky part.

Once back here I plunged straight in to
designing quilts for my latest fabric line
Clover Meadow which I believe will start
showing to shops in July.
I'm sure you can figure out the colors
from the name and I must say, I love it.

Another thing I came back to was
chickens - lots of chickens.
These are 2 of my Buff Orpington hens with
Americauna/orpington cross chicks.

We've always bought baby chicks, not had them hatch.
It's so much more fun when they're with their
mothers. The yards have netting over them
to keep them safe from  hawks.

This is the 1st brooder house they go into
with the small feeders and waterers.

Usually it's hard to get the young ones into the
houses at night so I can close them up.
Not now - Mamas just cluck and they come running.
You have to come in when the street lights
come on, you know.

These 3 are the latest hatched - Cochin/Americauna cross.

Our special this week is on the Patriotic page on the website.

15% off

Have a great week and a safe 4th.

Keep quilting.

Its Still June......

And I did get an eagle kit
ready for the 4th.
Well, since I'm pretty busy designing
quilts for my next fabric line
Clover Meadow, what I

did was do an old favorite in new fabric.
This is Let Freedom Ring - 2019
and you can get the kit by clicking here.
You can at least get the top done by the 4th
and we seem to have a 4th of July every year
so you're set.  :)

And since our website decided to go
on the fritz last week and tell people we didn't ship
to Colorado or Wyoming or New York
or wherever (Aargh!) I decided to leave Cabin
in the Pines on Sale for another week too.

Have fun ladies and
Keep Quilting.

Good Heavens - It's June

Spring Market is over
and in case you can't tell I came
home to plunge straight into designing
quilts for my latest fabric line
Clover Meadow.

Which is why I haven't
been blogging lately.

But it is June and July follows June
so lets get ready for the 4th.

Our book special this month is Liberty Garden -
with patterns for 9 quilts and

wallhangings with a patriotic theme.

You can order your copy by clicking here.

Our Deal of the Week is the
Cabin in the Pines BOM for half price.
You can buy it by clicking here.

Come back next Blockheads Wednesday
(no- we're not doing another Blockheads quilt
as far as I know but as one of the original 8,
Wednesday will always be Blockheads Day to me).

Anyway, I'll see if I can find an Eagle Quilt Kit
to ease us into the 4th.

Keep quilting ladies.

Day 11 - Final Quilts of Tabletop Turnabouts

The winner of the signed copy of
Tabletop Turnabouts from
the Midnight Serenade post is
Marsha B who said
"I can't wait for the book to come out,
everything in it is so adorable."

Well thank you Marsha.
And thanks to all who have taken
the time and energy to comment.

And I'm sorry there has been a lag
between some of the posts.
But......
1) It's almost time for Market which
means we are busy, busy, busy
and
2) I got the scans of the fabric for
my next line and started designing quilts.

Once I start designing a quilt it kind of
takes over and doesn't let go until
the quilt is at least resolved in my mind.
It doesn't have to be finished but I
need to know that it's going to work.

So Marsha, will you please email Tammy
your snail mail address and and she will send
your signed copy of the book.

Now for this week, make a comment and this time
the random number generator will pick someone to win
  a Table Stand.

And thanks for coming along with
Martingale and me on this
journey through the quilts in
Tabletop Turnabouts.

Keep quilting ladies.  :)
