First, I want to say how much I enjoyed reading your comments each night. Such a wide variety of gardens and experiences.
Ok - Now for the important stuff.
The winner of the Garden House Precuts was #53 -
I volunteer as a master gardener in my south Texas county, and this Saturday we start our spring program teaching children how to grow vegetables. It was so rewarding last fall watching them dig up their potatoes, and hunt for their green beans (which blended in with the plants so well.)
What a wonderful experience for you Lyn, and for the children you work with. I'm afraid all of my master gardening is done with bulbs and perennials, mostly on quilts.
If you will email your information to Tammie at janpatekquilts@centurylink.net or call her at 816-632-7632 we'll get your precuts out to you.
AND........
right after I posted the drawing for the precuts, I found out that our local PBS station KCPT will be showing the segment of Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting that I'm on, this Saturday, February 27th at 7:00 A.M.
One of my sons commented that quilters must be early risers.
Could be I said - but more likely we all have DVRs :).
Anyway, to celebrate we decided to give away a kit for the Garden House Pillow.
So here we go with making comments again.
I thought it would be fun to comment on making small projects and why you like them. I personally think they're great even thought I usually make much larger quilts.
Tammie suggested that I could have you comment on how much you like to take naps.
Pretty good idea.
So anyway, make a comment on either subject or just say "hi" and we'll do another drawing a week from Wednesday and post the winner.
Have a great week ladies.
